Dr Anand Ponniraivan is an experienced medical leader with over two decades in healthcare, spanning clinical practice, health service management, and executive leadership. A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) and the Australasian College of Health Service Management, he is also a Certified Health Executive. 

 

Significant past roles include senior executive positions in metropolitan, regional, and rural health services, as well as corporate health leadership with Medibank Private and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. His contributions to medical education and leadership development are reflected through his service with RACMA, where he has supported the next generation of medical leaders as Victorian Jurisdictional Coordinator of Training. 

 

Anand is currently Director of Medical Services | Quality & Safety at Monash Health, where he leads portfolios in Quality & Safety, Shared Decision Making, and Simulation. He also serves as a Board Director and Chair of the Finance & Risk Committee at the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV), and Chair of RACMA’s Victorian Jurisdictional Committee.
