Dr Stephen Duckett has had a long-standing involvement in primary care reform  

Dr Stephen Duckett is a health economist, policy maker and manager who has occupied many leadership roles in health services in both Australia and Canada, including as Secretary of the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing. He was health program director at the Grattan Institute (an Australian public policy think tank, from 2012 to 2022), a member of the Strengthening Medicare TaskForce and a member of the GP Incentives Review. He is an Honorary Professor at University of Melbourne, and Chair of the Eastern Melbourne PHN Board
